Backloading Removals

When should I book a back load?

Once I’ve figured out when I want to move, when should I book?

Right now, get on the website a book it in right this very second! No but seriously, that’s a bit of a hard question to answer without looking directly at your move, however all that is really required to determine this for you is your locations and requested date.

If you’re moving along the east coast, where there is always an abundance of trucks with plenty of room, then in general we only need a couple days notice to arrange your move.

On the other hand, if you live out in the more rural areas, for example somewhere like Moree, where a removal truck doesn’t go unless it needs to, a bit of forward thinking is generally a good idea. You might get lucky and we could have another customer in a near town that is moving, or we could not be planning to send a truck out there any time soon.

Also if you are looking to book around a holiday, for example Christmas or Easter, then once again a bit of forward thinking is generally advised.

More customers move over those two periods of the year than do over any other period, all trucks are busy, most end up being full, and sometimes there isn’t availability for over a week beyond when you were hoping to move, so if you can come to us around 1-2 weeks in advance during those busier periods, then you’ll be safe.

Also when you give us a bit more notice, we can do more for you, we can find you a trip on the fast truck if thats what you want, or if you’re hoping for a slower trip we can try swing it that way, or if you’re leaning towards delivery on a certain date, with a bit of notice it gives us a chance to try and work it that way for you. If you call up on Monday hoping to move from Melbourne to Darwin on Tuesday morning, you might be hard pressed finding a truck. We’ve done it before, but in general its pretty difficult.
